Perm Engine Companies Are Going to Sign Several Contract by End of Year
Perm Engine Co. has formed the portfolio of aero-engines purchase orders for the year of 2008. It is scheduled to deliver 32 aero-engines of the PS-90A family.
One of the largest contracts is for 15 PS-90A1 engines for Aeroflot-Cargo Airline. Furthermore, Ilyushin Finance Co. is planning to buy 10 PS-90A engines for Vladivostok-Avia and Red Wings (the former "Airlines 400") Airline.
In 2008 the PS-90A2 aero-engine deliveries will get going. Two first production engines will be acquired by Ilyushin Finance Co. for flight testing.
Till the end of 2007 Perm Engine Co. and Ilyushin Finance Co. are going to sign two contracts for the delivery of the PS-90A and PS-90A1 engines in 2009.
The first contract envisages the manufacture of ten PS-90A engines. The engines will be used in three Tu-204-100 aircraft of Red Wings Airline and in two Tu-204-C aircraft of Airbridge Cargo Airline (Volga-Dnepr companies group). The engines supply is scheduled for the first half-year of 2009. The above aircraft with the PS-90A engines can flyover the countries of Europe, because they meet ICAO noise and emission requirements.
The second contract with Ilyushin Finance Co. envisages the delivery of 15 PS-90A1 engines for three IL-96-400T transport aircraft of Atlant-Soyuz Airline. The IL-96-400T is a modified model of the IL-96-300 aircraft with higher take-off weight. The aircraft meets all international requirements. The engine delivery is scheduled for 2009.
Ilyushin Finance Co. is a long-standing partner of Perm Motors Group. Since 2004 Perm Engine Co., under the auspices of Ilyushin Finance Co., has supplied about 50 PS-90A engines to different airlines.

9 307 flight hours in the IL-96-300 of Aeroflot with no repair made.
PS-90A1 aero-engine is a modified model of the PS-90A. The engine specific feature is higher maximum thrust, which reaches 17 400 kgf. Now the PS-90A1 engine certification is in process of completion. The engine is designed for IL-96-400T cargo aircraft and IL-96-400M long-haul passenger aircraft.
PS-90A2 aero-engine is designed for IL-96-type aircraft and for Tu-204/214 aircraft. The main engine advantages are higher fuel efficiency and lower maintenance labour content. The PS-90A2 engine certification according to AP-33 Aviation Regulations will be completed in 2009.
