PERM MOTORS are developing a new gas turbine genset
At the end of December, 2005 Aviadvigatel Open Joint Stock Company entered into agreement with Vnukov Aviation Repair Works Open Joint Stock Co. for the development, manufacture and delivery of two gas turbine gensets for power generation rated 10 MW each.
According to the Agreement provisions Perm shall deliver the first genset to the end of 2006 and the second genset will be supplied somewhere in the middle of 2007. One of the gensets will be additionally equipped with a boiler for heat and steam production.
Aviadvigatel is currently developing the components for the new gas turbine genset. The genset will be driven by a gas turbine derived from the D-30 aero-engine.
According to the preliminary estimates two gensets of such a power rating will totally meet the demands of Vnukov Aviation Repair Works in heat and steam. Moreover, some part of the power produced will be supplied to Vnukovo Airport and "discharged" to Moscow common electric grid.
