Retrofitting of Tumentransgaz Facilities Using Aviadvigatel-developed Gas Turbines is in Process

In November 2006 Perm Engine Company completed the shipment of eight GTU-12PB gas turbines that will be used for retrofitting "Novourengoiskaya" compressor station of Tumentransgaz.

The gas turbine will be operated in "Ural" GPA-12R2 gas pumping packages (designed and manufactured by NPO "Iskra") in compressor workshop No. 4 of "Novourengoiskaya" compressor station (North Tumen Region-Torzhok gas pipeline).

One year ago compressor workshop No. 3 of "Novourengoiskaya" compressor station was re-constructed. Eight "Ural" GPA-12R2 packages on the basis of GTU-12PB gas turbines were used instead of obsolete GTK-10-4 gas pumpers.

Additional Information

GTK-10 rated at 10 MW is used as the mechanical drive of GTK-10-4 gas pumping package. It has been produced by "Nevskiy Plant" (St. Petersburg) since 1968.

GTU-12PB gas turbine designed on the basis of PS-90A aero-engine gas generator is used as the drive of "Ural" GPA-12R2 package. GTU-12PB rated power is 12 MW, efficiency is 34%. It has been serially produced by Perm Engine Company since 1994.
