At the beginning of December 2008 GTPP No.1 of Prirazlomnoye oil and gas field, based on six GTU-4P gas turbines designed by Aviadvigatel, OJSC and manufactured by PMZ, generated one billion kW/h of electric energy since the start of operation!
Perm engines have been used by YuNG-Energoneft Ltd since August 2003. In December 2008 their accumulated operating time was more than 257,000 hours.
Two high-time GTU-4P gas turbines operate as part of GTPP No.1. The gas turbines have service life extended to 50,000 hours and have been operated without any overhaul. The accumulated operating time is more than 94,000 hours.
Following the results of its five-year operation, YuNG-Energoneft's GTPP No.1 has fully proven the validity of all the specifications claimed. Today we can surely say that Perm engine-builders' strategy is directed towards ensuring successful operation of the gas turbines during their complete life cycle.
It is significant that the power plant uses associated petroleum gas as fuel, which helps to solve the problem of associated gas utilization and to drastically decrease pollutants` emission. Perm-built gas turbines comply with all the modern environmental requirements and this fact is confirmed by the corresponding certificates.
The power plant's staff thanks Aviadvigatel's specialists for their help and support. According to Mr. Nesterov, GTPP's head, Perm engine-builders' role in achieving one billion kW/h of generated power is quite significant.
