Work on development, serial production, and delivery of gas compressor plants and gas turbine power plants based on aircraft gas turbine engines began in Perm Region in 1992 on the initiative of Gazprom. In the course of implementation of the program, a unique cooperation was formed on the basis of Perm-located aerospace enterprises. This cooperation unites scientific and industrial potential of engine builders for solutions of common tasks, unifies the approach to technical and economic policies, and coordinates its activities accurately both in development and full-scale production of state-of-the-art machinery and in customer support.
The cooperation has passed a serious trial in implementation of Ural-Gazprom program during development and optimization of pilot gas compressor plants, gas turbines, and power plants, in delivery, installation, and adjustment of serial machinery, and especially in their operation in real-life environment at compressor stations through the country from its southern regions up to the Far North.
First article testing of GPA-25R-PS at Permskaya CS of Gazprom Transgaz Chaikovsky LtdIn the course of implementation of Ural-Gazprom program, over fifty model types of Ural gas turbine plants ranging from 4 to 25 MW were developed on the basis of gas turbines designed by Aviadvigatel. These model types are of different design: packaged types, hangar types, designed for application at line-ar and booster compressor stations and for underground gas storage facilities. The 4 to 12 MW gas turbine power plants were developed and put into full-scale production. Total running hours of our common machines arrived at 3.5 MLN hours.
It is very pleasant to note that, despite a very impressive service record of operating gas turbine equipment designed by Perm Design Bureau, Aviadvigatel's specialists do not rest upon their achievements and work constantly on optimization of engine design to achieve and overcome the best world specifications. This refers to enhancing efficiency factor of gas turbines, reducing emissions, lowering fuel gas and lube oil consumption. Gazprom recognized Ural series gas compressor units as being the best in Russia for their technical and economical parameters and appointed Perm complex as the main supplier of gas compressor plants for the needs of gas transportation system.
We are pleased with Aviadvigatel being our partner in strategic Gazprom projects, including the North Stream, Bovanenkovo - Ukhta and Sakhalin - Vladivostok pipelines, Shtokmanovskoye Field, and others...
